Entrance Fees
A fee of $50.00 for first-time enrollment must be enclosed with each application form. Students who withdraw and then wish to return to GNYA are required to re-apply, their application fee is $25.00. A late registration fee of $50.00 will be charged to any individual not registered by the designated date. These fees are not refundable.
At registration a $375 general fee is due. This includes expenses related to library, guidance and testing, accident insurance, school publications, selected educational trips, student association activities, Internet access, etc (books are not included in the general fee).
Tuition Payment
The current annual tuition of $5,600.00 is divided into ten payments. The first tuition payment is due at registration. Nine additional tuition payments will be billed on a monthly basis and are to be paid by the 15th of each month starting on September 15. The last payment for the school year is due on May 15 before the final exam permit can be issued.
Payments can be made by cash, credit card, check or money order. Payments made after May 15 must be by credit card, money order or cash. No checks will be accepted after May 15. Parents are encouraged when sending payments to the Academy by the student not to send cash as this could be lost or stolen.
Members of the Greater New York Conference of Seventh-day Adventists receive a monthly tuition discount of $160.00. Non-constituent Seventh-day Adventists recieve a $110.00 monthly discount.
Class Dues
This is the student's contribution to their class fund. The amount charged depends upon the student's grade level. They are paid annually, and are used for activities in which the students participate with members of their class. The current dues are $25.00 for freshmen, $30.00 for sophomores, $35.00 for juniors, and $40.00 for seniors.
In addition to their class dues, senior students pay a $150.00 graduation fee that includes the diploma, cap and gown rental, and other graduation expenses.
Textbooks
The Academy maintains a Book Store which provides textbooks and the essential daily needs of students such as school supplies as well as personal necessities. Purchases made in the Book Store can be paid for in cash, or they can be charged to the student's account at the time of purchase. After the initial book purchase, students must obtain written permission from their parents before additional purchases can be made.
Additional Charges
There are additional fees associated with specific classes. Students are required to purchase at least one set of the gym uniform ($75.00 per set). Students enrolled in science or computer classes pay an annual $25.00 per class.
