Resources not available through GNYA's library may be accessed in other facilities in the New York metropolitan area. This is a list of local public libraries that our users can utilize.
All members of the school community can get a free library card that gives access to a very large collection of resources including many online research databases. The library has over 60 branches. The Woodside branch is only a few blocks from the school and is open after school Monday through Friday. Circulating books can be reserved and renewed online, and checked in and out at your nearest library regardless of the branch where they belong.
Access to this, one of the leading public libraries of the world and one of the United States's most significant research libraries, is also free to all members of the school community. You can apply online for a library card to borrow materials from any of its branches in the Bronx, Manhattan or Staten Island or to use the online databases and other digital resources.
Another large local library system for which all members of the school community can get a library card. Services are similar to those of Queens Library including off-site access to articles and databases and an excellent ask a librarian service.
