Meet the 2004-2005 Academic Highest Honors Awardees

In this interview Rachelle Fleury, Alethea Glave, Nyasha Romeo, Ryan Thornhill, Jennifer Valcin and Kristelle Vencer tell how they manage to do so well in school, and share their main goals in life.

Rachelle Fleury

• How do you manage to do so well in school?
  I pay attention in class, take notes and review often.
• What is your main goal in life?
  To do the best I can in everything I do.
• How has attending Greater helped you reach your goal?
  Small class sizes have helped me have a close relationship with teachers, and I relate to my classmates because we have the same goals.

Alethea Glave

• How do you manage to do so well in school?
  I work hard and pay attention in class and it stays in my memory.
• What is your main goal in life?
  To be a success in all areas.
• How has attending Greater helped you reach your goal?
  It helped me to reach my academic and spiritual goals and prepared me for the rest of my life.

Nyasha Romeo

• How do you manage to do so well in school?
  I just do the work at my best ability.
• What is your main goal in life?
  My main goal is to be successful and to make a lot of money.
• How has attending Greater helped you reach your goal?
  It has given me the education and tools necessary... It prepared me for college.

Ryan Thornhill

• How do you manage to do so well in school?
  I try not to stress myself out and manage time properly.
• What is your main goal in life?
  To please God in whatever I do and make it to heaven.
• How has attending Greater helped you reach your goal?
  It has helped me stay focused on what's really important in life.

Jennifer Valcin

• How do you manage to do so well in school?
  I study hard and do my homework. [Also] I get to class on time.
• What is your main goal in life?
  I want to become a neurosurgeon.
• How has attending Greater helped you reach your goal?
  It's helped me reinforce my religious background, because there is a difference netween Greater and other schools.

Kristelle Vencer

• How do you manage to do so well in school?
  I pay attention in class and I have a good memory.
• What is your main goal in life?
  To be rich and happy, and to go to heaven.
• How has attending Greater helped you reach your goal?
  It has strengthened my faith in God.
